Recording Series :: 100% Birch Shells
Check out our Recording Series drum kits.  Featuring 100% Birch shells, this series expands into a realm of professional sound and quality that you've come to expect from Spaun.  Similar in construction to our Custom Series shells, these 100% Birch shells are 8-ply with a thickness of less that 1/4" (5.5mm).  16-ply and 24-ply snare drums are also available.
Sound Characteristics include: A bright and strong attack with fat low end.  The shorter decay of our 100% Birch shell makes it a very popular choice among studio musicians and record producers.  These drums have great projection.  Punchy, tighter, and more aggressive than maple.
