Abe Perez-Yankee Rose, Independent


Abe Perez was born in Cuba and always throws his roots in his playing. He also plays congas and other percussion. Abe started playing drums at 9 years old. He started playing professionally while he was still in Jr. High School. He went on his first tour to Canada right out of high school with the Davey London group. He also formed an all original band called Yankee Rose which was signed by Satellite Records and was produced by Greg Geddes who played with Todd Rundgren. Yankee Rose played shows with Van Halen, Quiet Riot and many other big bands.

Abe has also played with John Nelson, the former guitarist of Eddy Money as well as with Sky Furies, a Vegas show band. Sky Furies also played at the famous Roosevelt Hotel 5 nights a week for a year and was produced by famous Producer HB Barnom, who has produced for Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones and many other prominent musicians. Abe also worked with Raven Hernandez and other members of Redbone, who wrote the hit "Come and Get Your Love". Abe has also worked off and on throughout the years with Jimmy Espinosa and other members of The Midnighters.

This is just a few of the bands that Abe has worked with. Abe is endorsed by Spaun Drums and has an amazing collection of drums custom made for him. Abe is also endorsed by DB drum shoes and now Abe is endorsing Soultone Cymbals. He saw them at the NAMM show, then went to the factory and fell in love with their sound and looks.

Abe is an independent drummer for hire for live performances/touring/recording.
